Lunch at Ashwells

JANUARY - Just over 50 members booked for lunch at Ashwells Sports and Country Club. There was a .warm and friendly atmosphere as members gathered around midday in the bar area for drinks before taking their seats for a three-course lunch. To start the choice was prawn cocktail or leek and potato soup, followed by either pork fillet or salmon en croute, and for dessert, fresh fruit salad or apple crumble. Generally the food was good, though some members mentioned that the food was not very hot. (Report: Brian Leith, photos Bill Reeves)
