SEPTEMBER - Theatre Group members enjoyed a weekend at the Gordon House Hotel, in the historic city of Rochester made famous by Charles Dickens who based several stories on the city and surrounding areas. Among the activities over the three days were visits to the cathedral, walking guided tours, a cruise on the Medway, a dinner in a charming restaurant in the high street (The Atrium), while another was taken in the hotel's own restaurant. Also included in the weekend was a visit to Chatham Central Theatre where Jimmie Osmond entertained with a show that focussed on the music of Andy Williams. An enjoyable and active weekend that was subject to a mixture of sunshine and occasional rain. (Report and photos: Brian Leith)

JANUARY - Members of Theatre Group Three enjoyed a two-course meal at the Italian restaurant, Cucina, The Street, High Ongar. On entering the restaurant, members received a warm and very friendly welcome from the  restaurant manager and his staff, which set the scene for a pleasant evening. The choice of food on offer from a "special" menu was excellent and all agreed that the whole evening was thoroughly enjoyable and a great success. (Report and photos: Brian Leith)
